WHAT IS YOUR COVID POLICY?
Current Government mandates for attending indoor events at venues such as Brooklyn Expo Center, currently state:
Full Vaccination: People 12 and older participating in public indoor activities are now required to show proof they have received two vaccine doses, except for those who have received the one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Starting January 29, 2022, children ages 5 to 11 must also show proof of full vaccination.
Masks are recommended to be worn while not actively eating or drinking.
Proof of vaccination requires in-person display of your vaccination card. Guests may display proof on a smartphone or present a physical copy. You may present proof through the use of smart phone apps such as the NYS Excelsior Pass.
WHAT IS ACCEPTABLE PROOF OF VACCINATION?
Proof of vaccination requires in-person display of your CDC or NYC vaccination card. Guests display proof on a smartphone or present a physical copy. You may also present proof through the use of smart phone apps such as NYC COVID Safe App, CLEAR Health Pass or the NYS Excelsior Pass.
WHAT IF THE EVENT IS CANCELED, AM I ABLE TO GET A FULL REFUND?
Yes. If the event is forced to cancel, all ticket buyers will receive a full refund back to their original form of payment.
WHAT IS THE NEW DATE FOR THE EVENT?
February 19th & 20th, 2022.
I PURCHASED A TICKET FOR THE 2020 EVENT, WILL MY TICKET STILL BE HONORED?
YES! The ticket you currently have is valid and will be honored for admission on the new date. There is nothing more for you to do.

HOW DO I GET TO THE EVENT?

HOW DO I BUY TICKETS FOR THE EVENT?
Please visit our tickets page to purchase tickets for the festival in advance. We recommend purchasing your ticket in advance to avoid being sold out and to avoid paying extra at the door.
CAN I BUY TICKETS AT THE DOOR?
Tickets will only be available at the door if the event is not sold out.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT TO GET INTO THE FESTIVAL?
The Coffee & Tea Festival is a family-friendly event. However, we encourage strong supervision of children since there will be hot liquids at many exhibitor’s tables. Event staff and volunteers are not responsible for any supervision of attendees. Children are not allowed into the seminar areas. Strollers are not permitted due to limited space and potential crowding.
AM I PERMITTED TO LEAVE THE FESTIVAL AND COME BACK LATER IN THE DAY?
Yes, but you must request a wristband from registration, prior to leaving, to present upon re-entry.
IS THERE A DISCOUNTED PRICE ON TICKETS FOR CHILDREN?
Children 12 and under are admitted into the festival for free. Anyone over the age of 12 needs to purchase a ticket. NO children are permitted in seminar rooms.
ARE STROLLERS PERMITTED?
NO. Due to limited space between exhibitor booths and festival attendees, aisles can be tight at times and make it difficult for stroller use and navigation. Therefore, strollers are NOT permitted!
ARE PETS PERMITTED?
For your own safety and the safety of other guests, pets are not permitted with the exception of guide/therapy dogs who must carry proper identification tags.
WILL FOOD BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE?
YES. There will be exhibitors with light foods to purchase but we encourage you to explore the neighborhood and try one of the many restaurants and fast casual options in Greenpoint. You are welcome to leave the festival and come back for more - just grab a wristband on the way out from the registration table.
IS SMOKING PERMITTED AT THE FESTIVAL?
Smoking is NOT permitted inside of the festival/venue; this includes electronic cigarettes and vaping devices.
WILL PARKING BE AVAILABLE?
Street parking is available but limited. We encourage all attendees to make use of public transportation. Please check our directions page for transportation/direction options. The nearest parking garages are about a 15-20 minute walk away:

Festival organizers, Starfish Junction, are not responsible for travel related expenses to/from the event and do not have any association with parking garages to determine pricing.
IS THERE A COAT CHECK?
Yes. Coats and other small items can be checked for a small fee of $2/item.
WILL THERE BE A PLACE TO STORE LUGGAGE IF I AM COMING IN FROM OUT OF TOWN?
Unfortunately, we do not have room to store luggage at the event. Additionally, suitcases will not be allowed on the festival floor. We recommend checking into your hotel before coming to the festival.
ARE SEMINARS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF ADMISSION?
There are many wonderful seminars to attend that are included with admission, should you wish to participate. “Free Festival Seminars” are available to all and seating is on a first-come basis. Please click here to view a full listing of seminars.
IS THE EVENT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?
Yes, the venue is fully accessible. However, aisle crowding may make it difficult for wheelchairs and assisted walking devices.
ARE THERE HOTELS IN THE AREA?

WILL I BE ABLE TO MAKE PURCHASES OF PRODUCTS I LIKE?
Yes, many exhibitors will have products available to purchase, should you like to. We recommend attendees to bring cash to the event if they expect to make purchases. However, many exhibitors do accept credit cards. There is an ATM available at the venue.
ARE THERE ANY TASTINGS?
Exhibitors offer various tastings of their own products. However, there will also be tastings available through select seminars. Special tastings will require a reservation and a small materials fee. Please visit the seminars page for additional details.
CAN I GET A PRESS PASS FOR THE EVENT?
Yes, if you are a member of the media (including qualified bloggers and social media influencers), please visit our press page to fill out a press pass request. By filling out a request, you are not guaranteed a press badge. An event coordinator will be in touch to confirm with you. Please note, your 2020 press badge is voided, you MUST reapply for a 2022 press pass.
I BOUGHT TICKETS AS A GIFT BUT THEY SAY MY NAME. WILL THE GIFT RECIPIENT HAVE A PROBLEM GETTING IN?
No, the ticket purchaser’s name is not checked upon entry. When attendees are processed into the event, their ticket is scanned for authenticity and validity.
CAN I TAKE AN UBER OR A LYFT?
Yes. The address you should enter as your destination is 72 Noble Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222, which will take you to the entrance of the Brooklyn Expo Center.
ARE PHOTOS TAKEN AT THIS EVENT?
Yes, look out for our event photographer at the event and strike a pose. Check back here, at the event website, and/or on the event's Facebook page to see if you are included in the event photo album. Some photos of attendees may be used for promotional purposes; as a ticketholder of the event, you grant us permission to do so and for your likeness to be used.
